Falls from height are consistently the leading cause of workplace fatalities in the U.K.

Latest figures from the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) show that 35 people lost their lives at work due to a fall from height in 2024/25.

Falls from height were responsible for 28% of all workplace deaths (this proportion was 25% in 2021/22, 30% in 2022/23, and rising to 36% in 2023/24).
